IMPLEMENTATION OF USTTAD PROGRAMME UNDER MINISTRY OF MINORITY AFFAIRS, GOI.

USTTAD-Upgrading the Skills and Training in Traditional Arts Crafts for Development: DVERDS has completed USTTAD Programme on Artistic Textile and Hand Embroidery by engaging 300 Nos. of Artisans from Narayanpur, Bihpuria, Karunabari Development Block, Lakhimpur District, Assam for the year 2017-18 under USTAAD sponsored by Ministry of Minority Affairs, Govt. of India. The programme is conducted for four month duration and under guidance expert Master Trainer the trainees have achieved various methods of commercial production by using modern tools and machineries.

During the training, the trainees have produced different designs of Artistic textile and Hand Embroidery and they are motivated for commercial mass production as an income generating activity for their self establishment through formation of SHG. At the end of the training a proficiency test was done and the agency has awarded a Proficiency Certificate.
